Where the Hell Are the Feminists?
Let’s cut the crap.
If Western feminists actually cared about women, they’d be burning hijabs in Trafalgar Square, not screaming about “gender-neutral pronouns” at liberal arts colleges. They’d be marching on embassies, not men’s bathrooms. They’d be raising hell over acid attacks, honor killings, and forced child marriages, but instead, they’re busy “decolonizing makeup” and crying about catcalls.
The Middle East is a hellscape for women. In Iran, girls are beaten or killed for showing their hair. In Afghanistan, the Taliban has banned women from education, jobs, even walking the streets without a male guardian. In Gaza, girls are raised under a regime that values their wombs more than their minds. And in Saudi Arabia? You still need a man’s permission to do almost anything that resembles a life.
So where’s the feminist outcry?
Nowhere. Because it’s not politically convenient to fight real oppression. It’s easier to wage war on imagined microaggressions than take on a brutal, patriarchal theocracy. Easier to tweet about “male privilege” than call out regimes where a man can murder his daughter and walk away free.
Why? Because the left doesn't care about women. They care about the narrative. And the narrative must always be: the West is evil, white men are the problem, and everything else is off-limits. They’re more terrified of being called “Islamophobic” than of a 12-year-old girl being sold into marriage by her father.
They talk about “intersectionality”, a term so empty it floats, but what they really mean is “some victims matter more than others.” Western feminists have aligned themselves with the very ideologies that enslave the women they claim to defend. They kneel before cultures that would bury them in a burlap sack and beat them for speaking too loudly.
You want to see real female oppression? Try a courtroom in Pakistan where a rape victim is flogged for “adultery.” Try a Yemeni village where girls are mutilated to appease ancient superstitions. Try a Hamas-run school where girls are trained to become martyrs, not doctors. That’s not “the patriarchy”, that’s barbarism. And it’s not caused by capitalism. It’s caused by tribalism, theocracy, and an utter disdain for individual liberty.
But say that out loud and the Western feminist will clutch her pearls, because her worldview is a Jenga tower of cowardice. She has nothing to say to women who actually suffer, because she’s too busy performing oppression for Instagram likes. She’s a revolutionary cosplay artist playing dress-up while real women bleed.
So let me ask again, louder this time:
Where the hell is the global feminist movement for Middle Eastern women?
Where’s the Women’s March for Mahsa Amini? Where are the pink pussy hats in Kabul? Where are the angry op-eds about Hamas, whose charter calls for the subjugation of women under hardline Islamic law?
Nowhere. Because those fights are dangerous. They require real moral courage. They require naming enemies that don’t sit comfortably on the DEI checklist.
Western feminists don’t want liberation. They want relevance. And if real women have to die to preserve their narrative, so be it.
Here’s the truth: Western civilization, despite its flaws, is the greatest thing that’s ever happened to women. The same feminists who use the freedoms won by Western men to trash the West are silent about the places where women have no freedom at all. That silence is betrayal. It’s spineless. And it’s evil.
The real feminist movement isn’t in Manhattan, London, or Berkeley. It’s in the underground schools of Afghanistan. It’s in the streets of Tehran. It’s in the whispers of girls who dare to read, to walk, to live.
They are heroes.
Western feminists are cowards.
Let’s say it plainly: Until you fight for all women, you don’t fight for women at all.
